Blog – 27th October 2012

After a much needed break in sunny Marbella, I am back and straight into hard work. It was great not having a phone for a week, but it does show you that life almost stops when you aren’t able to talk to people! Returning to England and seeing the form LCFC are continue on is fantastic, they are still on top of the world and had yet another deserved win on Tuesday night. I am told it was another game that we have dominated start to finish; we could even afford to throw in a penalty!

LCFC now look organised and strong throughout the team, if anything one more top notch striker and the team would be complete. The boys look comfortable on the pitch and have plenty of energy! My spies told me that Kasper Schmeichel, Zak Whitbread and Danny Drinkwater gave great performances and Andy King and Lloyd Dyer showed why Pearson chose to start with them. The squad rotation seems to working well for LCFC keeping players fresh and ready for the pitch.

I really hope Pearson get what he wants from this season, which is obviously promotion. He will keep his head down and take on each game one at a time; he won’t get over confident like me! He must be very happy at the moment, and no wonder! It must be great for the owners as well due to how much money they have put into the club. I hope the lads can keep this up, Pearson could be the next to follow O’Neill’s legacy with a totally different type of football. Bring on Palace, I can’t wait. I am also looking after a dozen of the owners and Susan Whelan’s guests in hospitality for the Palace match so I best freshen up my Thai!

Considering Nigel Pearson is also on crutches at the moment, he hasn’t let Leicester game slip! He’s just had a big knee OP, the same one as I need. Although I’m putting it off for as long as possible, after 25 operations I am well and truly put off knives, surgeons and hospitals!

On Sunday I am at the King Power Stadium for a Filbert St Memories Q+A with the fans, which also includes a stadium tour (£10 adults, £7.50 kids), so if you’ve got no plans you can come and quiz me!

I can’t leave my blog without a brief mention about the news from Bahrain that they have parted company with the Tater Peeler himself after just 15 months in the job. The events from earlier in the year are well worth a read on the link below, but not qualifying for the World Cup and then in the Arab Nations Cup group stage played 3 lost 3 was just too much for the Oil Men to put up with. What goes around comes around as the saying goes.

Finally, I’ve got a few busy months ahead of me with various Q+A evenings coming up and organising Christmas parties with K Kong Events, if you want any information on these please check out my website, We also have two big events lined up for 2013, so I’ll keep you posted with the updates!
