Well, I can’t say that I’m not disappointed about last weekend’s result, because I am! After all the hype from the brilliant run of results, we had a head on collision with non-other than arch rivals Forest. It would still have hurt to lose to a different team, but it had to be Forest. It’s a shame the game couldn’t live up to the support from fans, I’ve never seen the King Power so full. 30,416 people saw two sloppy goals from Forest, a bag full of missed chances from Leicester and a dodgy ref.
You have to give some credit to Billy Davies and the Forest team, they did their homework well and successfully blotted out our two wingers by doubling up defensively. I think the game could have been very different if David Nugent could have scored with an early header, or if Lloyd Dyer had scored a simple tap into the net. It’s been a while since I have seen Leicester buckle under the pressure of away team goals but they didn’t seem to be able to bounce back. I must admit though, when Nugent received a penalty I thought we could switch it around and come out on top; but he had a poor run up and skied it shattering my hopes.
Luckily for us, both QPR and Burnley seem to be showing signs of pressure so our loss against Forest hasn’t lost us much ground in the League. But, it has left other teams a chance to close the gap. I would imagine that Nigel Pearson has felt a little down over the last week, but I’m sure he can pull it back together for our next match.
I’ve got an exciting weekend coming up, I’m off to London to see the X Factor live show. I’ll be there supporting Sam Bailey. There’s lots of exciting things coming up in Leicester do to with music. I’ve been speaking to Serge from Kasabian and he’s said they will be bringing out a new album soon. I am also hearing early reports about the Leicester Music Festival which will be running over two days next year at the Tigers ground on Welford Road. The artists announced will be fantastic and I’m really looking forward to the variety of the acts. Im sure it will be a great day out for the whole family. I will be watching their Facebook and Twitter accounts for more information. ( @leicesterMF & Facebook.com/leicesterMF )
Dragons Den is going really well and if you not had chance to try us yet I promise the food never disappoints. We even had Brazil and Tottenham Star Sandro in last week.
We’ve only got a couple of weeks left on the Steve Walsh Blog competition. We will be announcing the winner in the next couple of weeks.
Good luck to Sam Bailey for this week’s X Factor, and good luck to everyone at LCFC.
