LCFC are back to their winning ways, and in style! A fantastic referee, can you believe it? A goal feast for the fans, 3 points and a massive smile for Nigel Pearson. Watching that match was the perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

Mick McCarthy certainly had a big job on his hands with Lloyd Dyer single-handedly ripping apart the Ipswich defence and setting off an absolute goal scoring spree. The first goal being a penalty in our favour and a referee decision that was a welcome change! A recurring neck injury saw David Nugent exit the game early, but not before he made his mark on the match and scored a goal. It was great to see Martyn Waghorn get a goal after the commitment and effort he has shown over the last few matches. It certainly paid off for him. Waghorn calmly tucked away his chance and got himself the sponsors Man of the Match. The luxury appearance from Marko Futacs also showed how many different options Nigel Pearson has when it comes to players up front. For me, Lloyd Dyer was my Man of the match. He has been terrific all season and definitely could be headed for player of the season!

Looking at the league table, we are back in a great position. Our goals are on par with Crystal Palace who sit at the top of the league, and our defensive goal against record is very strong. We are only six points away from top of the league and hopefully Crystal Palace’s small squad will soon catch up with them as inevitable injuries and suspensions start to kick in.

Our next few fixtures leading up to December are all great ones. Sheffield Wednesday are struggling to adapt to the Championship after last seasons promotion and I know their manager Dave Jones is worried about their own league position and his team’s inconsistency and what can I say about Derby County visiting the Foxes next Saturday? Can’t wait!!!!

On 26th January 2013 K Kong Events are holding a cash fighter event in Leicester Coliseum. There are guest appearances from Frank Bruno and Rendall Munroe, and the competition will be judged by a celebrity panel. For more information you can see our website at www.kkongevents.com
