Steve Walsh Blog – 30th November 2013

Well, it’s been another busy week for me! Muzzy and I have set up another football academy, AFDA Leicester. It’s very different to the football academy we already run, Future Foxes, as AFDA concentrates on a slightly older age group. It is for 16-18 year olds and we are hoping to train them up with excellent football skills as well as giving them a level 2/3 qualification in sports. We are really excited about this and are still looking for recruits. If you know anyone who might be interested, please check us out on twitter @AFDAcademy.

This weekend I am juggling various different events. On Friday night I was invited down to Blaby to switch on the Christmas lights. There was a good turn out and a really great atmosphere. Thanks for inviting me down!

Tonight I am back with K Kong events for our ‘Showdown’ event. It’s been greatly anticipated and I know I’m really looking forward to it! It’s been a lot of work to organise, and we are doing the event with a bit of twist. We are going to be running a live twitter and facebook feed of the event, so you can keep up to date with all the events of the night!

As well as these two events, I’m working hard at Dragon’s Den Chinese. Friday and Saturday nights are always the busiest and I’d like to say a big thank you to everyone who has come down and supported it.

Last weekend I was glad to see that City bounced back in the league with a win. The character of the team has changed so much from last year, and the lads bouncing back from the defeat against Forest shows that. They have showed the characteristics needed to win the league and gain promotion. They’ve got another good opportunity for a win today against Millwall and will definitely need the confidence boost for next month’s demands of the Christmas fixture list! Nigel Pearson is going to have a challenge on his hands to make sure that his lads are ready for the up and coming games.

Best of luck everyone at LCFC.

I really hope that this weekend can see great results for not only LCFC, but for Leicester Tigers and Sam Bailey!
