It’s been another busy week for Walshy! The opening of Dragons Den Chinese Restaurant and Takeaway opened last Sunday. It was a great night and I was really impressed by the food! I’m looking forward to another busy weekend and I’ll be hosting. Make sure you book a table and come down, I promise you will not be disappointed! Call 01162 781387 for bookings and takeaway.

Last Friday, I kicked off the weekend with a shop opening in Leicester City Centre.  A new pie shop has opened up called Walkers and Sons and I was invited down to the grand opening. It was a tremendous morning, they had dancers outside and a visit from the Leicester Mercury. I’m really glad they asked me to go down as it’s great to give something back to the local community.

First thing Saturday morning, I went to another shop opening. Millington Travel has set up a new shop in Syston and I was invited down to cut the ribbon for their new shop. It was another great morning and another chance for me to meet some locals.

On Saturday afternoon, I went to the King Power Stadium to see LCFC play Barnsley. It was a good job well done. There was a few occasions that I thought Barnsley were going to sneak in an equaliser, but LCFC did a great job of making sure they secured the maximum three points. This time last year, I don’t think that LCFC would have been able to keep hold of the points. They seemed to have learned from their previous mistakes and look like a more resolute team.

Tuesday’s match against Yeovil saw us take a back-to-back win. It was great to see the lads return from a tough away match with the maximum points available. I know that Yeovil are sitting in the bottom three, but those are the teams you have to watch out for. They are always more determined and can easily catch you off your guard. But I’m pleased to see that a reformed LCFC team didn’t make those mistakes.

So far the season has seen City get 8 penalties, the referees seem to playing more fairly. Maybe the football Gods are on our side this season?

This weekend sees us play away at Doncaster. There are a few old Leicester ties with Gerry Taggart being a scout and Paul Dickov being their manager. I’m sure they’ll both be out for the win! Doncaster only sit 18th in the league and with City in joint 1st, It’s a great opportunity for us to get ourselves another three points.

I wish the best of luck to everyone at Leicester City for this weekend’s match.
